I contacted the System76 support and Aaron Honeycutt pointed me in the right direction. It requires a systemd change to get working somewhat outlined in this <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/pop-os\/systemd\/commit\/4514189d5cb5043825ea6ca7f9e6494bfd6377b8\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/github.com\/pop-os\/systemd\/commit\/4514189d5cb5043825ea6ca7f9e6494bfd6377b8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Github issue<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Create the following file:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>nano \/etc\/udev\/hwdb.d\/61-keyboard-local.hwdb<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, add the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>###########################################################\n# System76\n#\n# Fix for Darter Pro 10 Mic Mute\n###########################################################\n\nevdev:atkbd:dmi:bvn*:bvr*:bd*:svnSystem76*:pn*:*\n KEYBOARD_KEY_81=micmute                        # Mic mute<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>I had to restart for the change to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>I will have to figure out how I will handle future firmware updates. There are <a href=\"https:\/\/support.system76.com\/articles\/system-firmware\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/support.system76.com\/articles\/system-firmware\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">instructions here<\/a>. Anyway, after a week I am super happy with the Darter Pro 10.
